On 21 May, renowned violinist Dr Simon Shiao held a lunchtime concert at St Martin-in-the-field as part of their Embassy and Cultural Institute Series, attended by Representative David Lin and colleagues from the Taipei Representative Office.

Dr Shiao was joined in performance by pianist Lucy Chen, and together they performed a selection of classical pieces, as well as pentatonic folk song ‘Taiping Drum.’

Violin Professor since 2003 at the University of North Florida, Simon Shiao has the distinction of having performed at Carnegie Hall in three different capacities, and has appeared around the world in concert, including at the National Theatre & Concert Hall in Taipei.
