Award winning Taiwanese author Lin Man-chiu will be taking part in the 2018 Edinburgh International Book Festival as part of the Baillie Gifford Children's Programme to talk about her 2014 book 'The Ventriloquists Daughter' which was long-listed for the 2014 Found in Translation Award and selected for the prestigious Found in Translation Anthology.
Alongside reading an excerpt from 'The Ventriloquists Daughter' she will be joined in a Q&A session by British author and professor Paul Magrs.

Lin Man-chiu is an award winning Taiwanese author who has published a number of successful YA novels and non-fiction titles. In 2003 she received the 'Golden Tripod Award' for children's fiction, and the 'Good Books Everyone Can Read Award' for the best children's book of 2010.
