Taiwanese indie band EggPlantEgg (茄子蛋) were invited to take part in ‘Liverpool Sound City: Stay At Home’ on Saturday, 3 May; a digital festival organized after the internationally renowned festival based in Liverpool originally meant to take place 1-3 May had to be postponed until September due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Golden Melody Award-winning trio, whose inclusion was announced via video on the festival’s Facebook page on Frida afternoon, performed a full setlist to the delight of a global audience, owing to the festival accessible for free worldwide. Festival organizers highlighted the group’s inclusion was in keeping “with the festival’s global spirit.”
