Launched in 2014, Taiwan Season has become a prominent feature at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, showcasing a rich array of Taiwanese dance, theatre, and live performance. Over the past decade, it has developed a strong and sustained presence, offering international audiences a glimpse into Taiwan’s vibrant and diverse cultural landscape. The Ministry of Culture, Taiwan takes great pride in presenting talented and innovative Taiwanese artists at the Fringe, celebrating the country’s open-minded and dynamic society. Taiwan provides a fertile ground for the perpetual development of arts and culture, producing world-class performing arts troupes while nurturing new talents.

Taiwan Season epitomizes the energy and creativity of the country’s new generation of artists, offering both acclaimed productions and fresh voices to the global stage. In 2024, this award-winning season marks its 11th edition with a carefully curated program under the theme <A Glimpse of Taiwan>. This year’s showcase includes a range of performances, from the playful and whimsical "I Am The BOSS" to the environmentally conscious and sound-driven "Little Drops of Rain." Other highlights include "Palingenesis," a profound exploration of the human body, and "Lost Connection," a compelling investigation of socio-cultural behaviours. These productions reflect the breadth of Taiwan’s artistic innovation and its deep engagement with global themes, making Taiwan Season a must-see at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024.
