Choral Treasures of Taiwan: Bao Lai x Jian Shan Junior High School Choir

Join us for a wonderful evening of traditional Taiwanese folk music, sung by the talented Bao-Lai Junior High School Chorus. The majority of the population in the district in southern Taiwan which the children hail from is primarily composed of the indigenous Bunun Ethnic group, one of sixteen official aboriginal groups in Taiwan. Singing and performance is an integral feature of Bunun culture and takes a central role in many festivals and events. The choir has participated in many international events, and won first place in the Folklore category in the 2018 World Choir Games in South Africa.
